NZALT Certificates of Excellence

The New Zealand Association of Language Teacher certificates of Excellence are awarded to Language students who gain an NCEA Excellence endorsement at Levels 1, 2 or 3, in French, German or Japanese.

Last year three students qualified:

1. Aidan Brown – Level 1 German endorsed with Excellence

2. Joseph Nicol – Level 1 Japanese endorsed with Excellence 

3. Clancy Wu – Level 3 Japanese endorsed with Excellence

A huge congratulations to all three students who achieved exceptionally in their respective NCEA languages courses last year.

DELF Scolaire Certificates

In October last year, four of our Year 10 French students sat the DELF Scolaire Examinations, administered by the local Alliance Française.

This is a challenging, internationally recognised and accredited four-levelled qualification that tests listening, reading, speaking and writing, with all answers written in French. It gives our students an extension to NCEA and a qualification that could enable them to study in a French university.

The official certificates recently arrived from France. All four students procured results of a very high standard and are to be congratulated on accepting the challenge that these examinations offer.

1. Scott Sun  gained 86.5%

2. Leo Mwape gained 85%

3. Kieran Gill gained 80%

4. Shawran Ventakesh gained 79.5%
