Memorial Gallery Rededication by PNBHS

Memorial Gallery Rededication

The Memorial Gallery holds a special and important place in the history and culture of Palmerston North Boys’ High School. During term one the Gallery underwent significant renovation and a rededication ceremony was held during the April school holidays ahead of our school Anzac service and visits to the Memorial Gallery by Year 9 Social Studies classes.

The renovation of the Memorial Gallery has been a labour of love for school archivist Mr. Dom King, who has spent countless hours repairing the main doors and reframing many of the photos of Old Boys killed during World War Two. Thank you also to Mr. Kevin McAnulty and Mr. Jason Woodman from our Property Team who replaced damaged wood panelling inside the Gallery, Head of Visual Art Mrs. Kelly Pfeffer Marshall who touched up the Old Boy’s names around the Gallery, the Property Team who have assisted in getting the Gallery and surroundings ready for the rededication service, and to Mrs. Debi Marshall-Lobb for her contribution to the rededication. It was also great to have returned serviceman and Patron of the PNBHS Old Boys Association Mr. Alan Cull present for the rededication service.
