Super Eight Cross Country 2022 by PNBHS

New Zealand Super Eight Schools Cross Country

One hundred of the Super Eight school's top distance runners assembled at Tauranga to contest the annual Cross-Country competition. All eight schools were represented making for a highly competitive event.

PNBHS had 17 runners split over three age grades and all young men ran well.

Y9 Boys Race - Brodie Bennett was 3rd, and the team was placed 4th

Junior Boys Race - Charlie Hook was 2nd, and the team was placed 2nd 

Senior Boys Race - Sam Stichbury was 3rd and the team was placed 4th.

Napier Boys' High School won the shield by 1 point from New Plymouth Boys' High School, which was 1 point ahead of Tauranga Boys' College.  PNBHS were 1 point further behind to finish in fourth place.

We look forward to hosting this event next year out at Massey in the build-up to co-hosting the New Zealand Secondary Schools' Cross Country championships.
