Manawatū Secondary Schools Cross Country

PNBHS had a team of 24 who competed in the Manawatū Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships at Foxton yesterday. The team was selected after our school Cross Country and Road Race. All team members raced well and were rewarded with some very impressive results.

Y9 Boys’ Race

The team of seven all finished in the top 10. Our first three runners home were: Brodie Bennett 1st, Grayson Cattle 3rd, and Nate George 5th. The team won the Y9 Teams competition.  

Congratulations to Brodie, whose winning time of 15:50:74 was a new Manawatū Secondary Schools Cross Country record.

Junior (Y10-11) Race

The team of six all finished in the top 10. Our first three runners home were: Charlie Hook 2nd, Jacob Lean 3rd, and Cillian Carroll 6th. The team won the Junior Boys Teams competition.

Senior (Y12-13) Race

The team of eight all finished in the top 10. Our first 3 runners home were: Sam Stichbury 1st, Reuben Duker 2nd, and Mathew Jamieson 3rd. The team won the Senior Boys Teams competition.
