Success for the 1st XI Hockey Team

The 1st XI Hockey team has finished their preparations for the upcoming New Zealand Secondary Schools Hockey Championship - the Rankin Cup - with success in the two local competitions they contest.  The 1st XI defeated Wairarapa College 4 - 2 in the final of the Intercity Secondary School Hockey competition and followed that up by winning the final of the Premier Reserve Championship 3 - 0 against the College Premier Reserve side, after leading the points table for the grade throughout the season.  1st XI Hockey co-captain Tom Collier presented the cups the side won for finishing at the top of the points table and for winning the grade to the school at assembly recently.

Junior A Football Win U17-19 Division 1 Competition

Congratulations to the Junior A Football team who have celebrated winning the U17-19 Division 1 Competition. They were in second place going into the final match day against top-of-the-table Whanganui Athletic Lions U17 at the CET Arena Turf. The team won the match 2-0 with goals from Soren Kururangi and William Kenyon to clinch the title.

Team captain Grayson Cattle presented the trophy to the school at assembly.

Next week the Junior A side will head to Tauranga to compete in the annual Hillsdene Tournament and we look forward to following their progress.
