Blood Donor Day
Donating blood is a great way to support our community, literally a life-saving contribution. It was fantastic to see so many of our senior students volunteer to be part of our recent Blood Donor Day. This year, at the request of the New Zealand Blood Service, we have hosted two donation days, such is the positive engagement of our young men in this important community service activity.
The New Zealand Blood Service staff who were here for the day complimented our young men on their manners and the way they positively related to them. This was great feedback to be able to share with our young men and a good example of how much of an impact 'the little things', like manners, make.
We hope that involvement in our Blood Donor Day can be the start of a lifelong habit of blood donation. Click here to check out the NZ Blood website for further information about blood donation.
