Congratulations to Year 10 student Ben Shirley, who competed in the New Zealand Artistic Roller Skating Championships during the July school holidays.  It was a very successful competition for Ben who won Gold in Cadet Figures, Gold in Preliminary Loops, Gold in Youth Dance Couples, Gold in Small Show Group, Gold in Cadet Solo Dance and Silver in Cadet Free Skating. Unfortunately, the Oceania Championships scheduled for this year have been cancelled because of Covid, denying Ben an opportunity to compete internationally. 

Wilson Hannon was successful at the North Island Road Cycling and North Island/National Track Cycling Championships in Cambridge during the July school holidays.  At the North Island Road Cycling Championships, Wilson was 1st in the U17 Criterium and 2nd in the U20 Road Race. At the North Island/National Track Cycling Championships Wilson was 1st in the U17 Omnium and also won the North Island Secondary Schools U17 Individual Championship, and he was second in New Zealand.
