Kawhatau Outdoors - Year 10 Camp

Going to a proper camp, where I had to stay in a tent, was an unreal experience. Doing exciting activities such as rafting and tramping in the rain, are memories we won't forget. As was having cool staff members that took us to the river, made us laugh and just helped us enjoy the week at camp.

The main moments I enjoyed were going to the river and floating down the current with all my mates, roaming the streets of Taihape, laughing our butts off when someone farted in the tent or van.

We also did other fun activities such as a competition day, a farm visit which included driving a tractor and learning how they pick, bunch and export asparagus. Each evening had different activities such as spotlight, a camp fire with marshmallows and a quiz night.

I'm so grateful to experience camp with my mates and I'd like to give a grateful thanks for the cool staff that tagged along with us throughout our journey and made it possible.
