North Island Junior Secondary Schools Volleyball Auckland

The team started with a win over fellow Super Eight schoo,l New Plymouth Boys’ High School, 2 – 1. We then played another Super Eight school, Tauranga Boys’ College, who proved too strong for us beating us 0 - 2.  Out last game in the pool play was against Massey High School, this was a must win game to ensure we made it into Division 1. 

Unfortunately, the game did not go our way with Massey High School winning 2 - 0. We then played our Division 2 pool games and we won all three; beating Te Awamutu High School 2 - 0, Te Puke High School 2 – 0, and Bethlehem College 2 – 1. These wins meant we finished in the top eight of Division 2. 

Next came the playoffs. We again drew a Super Eight school, Gisborne Boys’ High School, and we lost 2 – 1 in the Quarter Final. This loss gave New Plymouth Boys' High School the opportunity to play us again. This time things didn’t go our way with a 2 – 0 loss. Now playing for 7th or 8th place, we played Tokoroa High School, winning 2 – 0. We finished the tournament in 23rd place overall, and 7th in Division 2.
