Leo Mwape - Regional Race Unity Speech Competition Winner

Leo Mwape Wins Manawatū Regional Race Unity Speech Competition

Congratulations and good luck to Year 12 student Leo Mwape who won the recent Manawatū Regional Race Unity Speech competition and will now go on to compete in the national finals in Auckland in June. This will be Leo’s second involvement in the national finals after also winning the regional event in 2022. This year’s theme was ‘Nurture the Young’ and Leo’s speech centred on a forest metaphor – in a forest young trees grow up to replace the older trees and we see similar in society where young people are nurtured to be the next generation of adults. We wish Leo all the best for the national finals.

PNBHS Cross Country 2023 by PNBHS

PNBHS Cross Country

The annual PNBHS Cross Country was contested in superb conditions on the Kebble Farm course earlier this term.  It has been fantastic to see the large fields of young men electing to challenge themselves and compete in recent years and 2023 certainly followed this trend.

Congratulations to the first three home in the Cross Country - in 1st place Jonathan Jamieson, 2nd Jacob Lean and 3rd Jarvis Shaw.

Thanks to Massey University for their continuing support in allowing us to use their farm for what is a challenging course.
