NZALT Certificates of Excellence by 2023

Languages Presentations

Presentations were made in assembly this morning to young men who excelled in languages in 2022.

NZALT Certificates of Excellence

The New Zealand Association of Language Teacher certificates of Excellence are awarded to Language students who gain an NCEA Excellence endorsement at Levels 1, 2 or 3, in French, German or Japanese. Last year 6 students qualified:

Kieran Gill, Leo Mwape & Scott Sun gained Level 1 French endorsed with Excellence

Junhee Cho, Lucas Dixon & Benjamin Shirley gained Level 1 Japanese endorsed with Excellence

A huge congratulations to all six students who achieved exceptionally well in their respective NCEA languages courses last year.

DELF Scolaire Certificates

In August last year, thirteen of our Year 10 French students successfully sat the DELF Scolaire Examinations, administered by the local Alliance Française.

This is a challenging, internationally recognised and accredited four-levelled qualification that tests listening, reading, speaking and writing, with all answers written in French. It gives our students an extension to NCEA and a qualification that could enable them to study in a French university.

The official certificates recently arrived from France. All thirteen students procured results of a very high standard and are to be congratulated on accepting the challenge that these examinations offer. Congratulations to:

Daniel Alefaio, Ramis Baig, Edmund Brown, Angus Chiles, Alisdair Crawford, Kieran Gill, Ben Irwin, Ben Lawrie, Zavier Mitchell-Kouttab, Leo Mwape, Scott Sun, Blair Verry and Austin Williams.
