Earlier this term we farewelled Mrs. Ani Ruwhiu.  Mrs. Ruwhiu joined the PNBHS teaching staff in January 2018 as a teacher of Te Reo Māori and Social Studies. She took maternity leave during 2020 and returned to school in a part-time capacity after this. Mrs. Ruwhiu is passionate about building cultural understanding and cultural capacity alongside knowledge of Te Reo and both our staff and young men have appreciated her expertise and willingness to assist them. Mrs. Ruwhiu has supported the wide range of co-curricular activities provided through the Māori Department during her time at Palmy Boys’.

Mrs. Ruwhiu leaves us to take up a position with the Pūhoro STEM Academy and we wish her all the best for this next stage in her career.
