Year 13 Leavers' Dinner

Well done and thank you to all of the young men and staff who attended the recent Year 13 Leavers’ Dinner. Special thanks to our guest speaker Mr. Ian Dacre. Mr. Dacre attended PNBHS from 1981 – 1985 and was in Vernon Club. While at PNBHS he was heavily involved in a wide range of sporting and cultural activities alongside his academic studies. Upon leaving school he attended Massey University and qualified as a veterinarian. After graduating he moved to Scotland and alongside his vet work, he completed a PhD in Equine Dentistry from the University of Edinburgh. Since then, his career has taken him all around the world in a variety of roles. Mr. Dacre has worked for many years in Animal Disaster Management and was able to share many stories about his work in challenging situations after natural disasters and diseases have decimated livestock numbers. It was a privilege to have Mr. Dacre share some of his journey with us.

Thank you also to the College House catering staff for putting on a magnificent meal for us and to Mrs. Shorter and Mrs. Davidson for the many hours put into organising the Year 13 Leavers’ Dinner.
