A number of PNBHS students recently competed in the North Island Golden Gloves Boxing Championships in Tauranga. Congratulations to Leo Donaldson who was first in the 50kg division, Benjamin Donaldson who was first in the 52kg division, Dominic Toner who was first in the 80kg division, Keanu Mooney who was second in the 57kg division and Reihana Reiri who was third in the 75kg division.  These results are a great reward for the hard work put in by these young men.

Year 10 student Alex Sharpe competed in the Target Shooting New Zealand Inter-Secondary School competition held concurrently at multiple shooting ranges around the country at the end of term three.  Following this Alex was selected to represent the North Island team, who convincingly beat the South Island in the inter-island match, setting a new record in the process.

Alex finished up with an aggregate score of 482.21, which saw him just three points shy of making the New Zealand team, a great accomplishment in only his second year of shooting.
