VEX Robotics World Championships 2021

VEX Robotics World Championships

Recently Year 9 students Ben Phillips, Campbell Bassett, Jacob Lean and Tommy Read represented New Zealand at the VEX Robotics World Championships. The boys designed, built, and programmed their robot themselves over the course of the last year.

Due to COVID this event was held entirely online, which meant 6.00am starts and the challenge of communicating with teams who didn't speak English. The team made it through to the Division finals and finished in the top 50 teams in the World, a fantastic achievement.

Ben Campbell, Jacob and Tommy qualified for the World Championships in 2020, as students of Palmerston North Intermediate Normal School.
