Year 13 Joinery

This year as part of the Year 13 Joinery course students were given the opportunity to make and install joinery in the newly built P5 classroom. It provided students with a great opportunity to go through the processes of an authentic joinery project. This involved liaising with the client, planning, designing, manufacturing, and installation of the cabinets. The cabinetry was manufactured and set up in the workshop prior to installing. The was new to the class, as it was the first time they worked on a “job site” as opposed to working in the workshop. This project gave students valuable experience in the process of completing a project from the planning to the installation stages.
