Manawatu Summer Sevens Tournament

The Manawatu Summer Sevens tournament was originally to involve numerous schools from throughout the region but unfortunately due to Covid-19 the number of schools able to participate was greatly reduced.

Thanks to Horowhenua College, our combined Year 9 and 10 team had the opportunity to play two games. Our team won both of their games, displaying some great ball skills and game structure. The boys also showed a strong team spirit and a positive mentality. Well done teams.

First game: 34-0

During the tournament the team had the opportunity to see up close the Women's Rugby World Cup trophy that will be contested for in New Zealand during October and November 2022.

We look forward for Term 4 when we will be able to play sevens rugby again!
