Shearing 
Recently a group of students completed a shearing course with their PITO tutors and former New Zealand Speed Shearing champion Jimmy Samuels. These young men then competed in the Novice Shearing Student Challenge at the Golden Shears competition in Masterton. Ernie Fowler and Hayden Lourie finished in the top six teams and qualified for the final where they finished fifth overall - a great experience for them.
