Year 9 Form Class Challenge

During week 8 all Year 9 students participated in their form classes in a four-day challenge. The Year 9 Challenge is an opportunity to demonstrate how well they can work together as a team, seeing as they have spent considerable time together already. It is also a chance for the classes to further develop these important skills under pressure. While fun, the challenges draw inspiration from a variety of curriculum areas – the Arts, Drama, English, Science, Social Studies and Physical Education. They include quizzes, team-building and adventure-based learning tasks, collaborative art-making, building tasks, and creating a comic strip and poem. Also included is the survivor challenge, whereby the class must respond to an emergency situation. It is fantastic to see the engagement from the students and we hope they were both challenged and enjoyed the wide range of tasks they undertook.

Congratulations to 9KR, the winning Form Class, while second place went to 9SH and third to 9HW.
