PNBHS Softball

Term 4 saw the start of Softball season, and although very short, the students involved got stuck in and had fun. With senior students heading into exam leave, the two teams were made up mainly of Year 9 and 10 students, with about half having played very little before. It was pleasing so see the assistance and support from the more experienced players, guiding their teammates and ensuring they were in the right place....well mostly.

Both teams performed well, winning more games than they lost and playing in good spirit. Term 1 next year will see the teams play again, working towards the competition finals and possibly the North Island championships in Hastings. Thanks to the parents who supported the young men and in particular, Hone and Tania Wihongi and Billy Walker.
