3rd XV Rugby

Team contested well in recent games.

The season has started well for the PNBHS 3rd XV getting through the grading games unbeaten and have been placed into the Premier 2 division. The first game of the season saw the team head over to Feilding to play the FAHS 2nd XV. The game was a well contested, free flowing affair with PNBHS coming out winners 31 – 15. The next game was against Whanganui High School 1st XV, this was a close game with the boys trying hard until the end. Unfortunately as the ball bounced dead in front of our chaser the full-time whistle was blown and a narrow 22 – 24 loss resulted. This fired the team up for the third game of the season where they played a spirited Dannevirke 1st XV. Down 10 - 7 at half time, the team changed gears and played with the form shown early in the season and came out winners 26 – 10. Week four was a bye week for the team, to be followed by Cullinane College 1st XV next week.
