Congratulations to Prefect Kevin Cao who recently gained his ATCL qualification in piano. This is an exceptional achievement, the equivalent in standard to the first-year recital requirements of an undergraduate degree. It is fantastic to see Kevin's dedication and countless hours of practice being rewarded.

A 14 strong team of PNBHS swimmers contested the New Zealand Secondary Schools’ Swimming Championships that was held in week one of this term in Hamilton. Despite having to endure challenging 14-hour days the team performed with distinction to finish second overall and second in the relays – superb achievements especially considering the small size of the team compared to those fielded by a number of other schools.

There were many superb individual performances and string of personal best times were achieved.
