2022 August Library News

Here in the library, we have noticed the decline in students’ reading ability over the years, with the exception of the high-flyers. Our books reflect this with the acquisition of many more primary school age books. We eagerly hope for changes with the recent release of the National Literacy and Communication Action Plan.

Our hard-working Year 12 Student Librarians have been a great support to the library staff. They are Tyler Fleming, Jackson Hesp, Josh Moss, Nicolas Neilson, Felix Shaw, Jonathan Stone and Blake Tauli.

Mr Young (Head of Music) has kindly restrung our guitars so we can offer these plus our keyboard for use during interval and lunchtime. Students who have never had access to these, as well as those who play well may use them. 

Our board games are popular and recently a game of Mastermind nearly became violent!
