Congratulations to PNBHS Basketballers Santino Pekepo-Tavaga, Marino Rimene and Nehemiah Su’a, who have been selected in the Basketball New Zealand 2021 Under 14 National Camp.
The invite-only gathering is being held at Tui Ridge in Rotorua and will bring together 160 of New Zealand’s most promising young basketballers. This is the first stage of the National Talent Programme and was launched in 2017 to start a higher level of exposure to these talented athletes. Invitees are those who have exemplified an adept skillset and a commitment to training by their local associations.

Congratulations and good luck to Year 12 student Finn Caske, who has been named as a finalist in the Hockey New Zealand Sky Sports Awards for the Outstanding Young Person of the Year Award. The awards celebrate those who have contributed to the hockey community in New Zealand in 2020, and winners will be announced at the Hockey New Zealand Annual Awards dinner on Friday, April 30. During 2020 Finn provided significant service to both PNBHS Hockey and Hockey Manawatū and it is great that this has been recognised at a national level.
