Shand Shield 2022

Despite the disruptions of term one, we were able to hold most of the competitions that make up the Shand Shield competition.  Our annual Athletics Championships (four separate events: track, field, relays and marching) had to be modified with a reduced number of competitors and consequently did not count as part of the Shand Shield competition for 2022, with the same applying to the annual Swimming Championships (individual events and relays).  All other events were able to take place as usual.

Congratulations to Murray Club, who were the Shand Shield winners for 2022.  Final placings:

1st - Murray Club (Road Race - Denton Cup, Rugby - Waldegrave Cup, Tennis - Andrews Cup)

2nd - Kia Ora Club (Fountain/Love Cup awarded to Kia Ora Club Captain for Leadership, Chess - Sims Trophy, Choral - Young Trophy, Debating - Elwood Cup, Monrad Cup - Physical Education, Squash - Gordon Hughes / Walker Cup, Table Tennis - Denis Duffy Cup)

3rd - Albion Club (Whitehead Family Cup awarded to Albion Club Captain for Leadership, Cricket - Butler Cup, Debating - Elwood Cup)

4th - Gordon Club (Doolan Family Cup awarded to Gordon Club Captain for Leadership)

5th - Vernon Club (Football - Cutler Cup, Hockey - Mummery Cup)

6th - Phoenix Club (Shooting - Hallett Cup & Fountain Cup, Volleyball - Chang Cup)
