Sports Officials

Umpires, referees and other officials are essential to any sports contest and it is fantastic the we have young men who give their time to help ensure that opportunities are available to others.

Year 12 student Ben Algie has had a great season as a Hockey umpire.  This year he has umpired at the Tanner Cup tournament, where his good form saw him selected to officiate in the final, as well as the Federation Cup, the top secondary school girl's tournament, and the National Māori Hockey tournament.

Year 9 student Harry Eden has been selected as a Touch referee for the New Zealand Secondary Schools tournament to be held in Rotorua in December.
