Principal's Message
We have welcomed a great many people into school since our last newsletter. Grandparents Day and the Eastern Beats Sing Festival were both events which provided an opportunity for those less familiar with the school to come along and experience what our amazing students and their teachers create. Many whom we had not seen for a long time also joined us for these events. This all helps create a strong sense of community which is so important in the development of the confidence and identity of our tamariki.
I will be presenting the results of our community consultation about the vision and values of the school at next week’s board meeting. Thank you to the families who provided feedback. Once the board has had a look, a summary will be made more widely available.
The school yearbook will be available for purchase this year. Increasing costs and restricted funding from the government have led to the need for us to charge for this publication if we are to prioritise our spending on the support of teaching and learning. We have kept the cost of both the printed and digital yearbooks as low as we can and hope that families will still be able to enjoy this record of the school year.
