Kiwi Kapers Orchestra Concert
In Week 4, music students attended the Kiwi Kapers concert by the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra in the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre, Aotea Centre. The theatre was full of primary, intermediate and secondary school students, most of them would have never heard an orchestra perform live before! An amazing opportunity for Point View students to hear "The Bookbinder" theatrical story intertwined with music from great composers like Mussorgsky's "Night on Bald Mountain", Ravel's "Danse du Rouet et Scène"
Kats-Chernin's "Dance of the Paper Umbrellas", Debussy's "Clair de Lune" and Saint-Saëns' "Danse Macabre". Thanks to the parents Mathina (Micaiah and Manayah's mum) and Clodia (Patricia's mum), to Mrs Clark's Mum Chris and to Ms Pirie for joining us for this memorable experience.
We are looking forward to next year's Kiwi Kapers concert!
