This year, five teams made up of 20 enthusiastic students represented Point View School at the East Auckland Regional Chess Competition, which brought together 48 teams from 18 different primary schools.

Our top team — Lincoln Xu, Oscar Wang, Ahana Gupta, and Jeremy Li — impressed everyone with their strong play, earning a fantastic 3rd place overall.

All of our students gave it their best on the day and, just as importantly, really enjoyed the experience.

We’re also excited to share that the Point View A team has earned a spot at the Interschool National Finals, which will take place in Christchurch this September.
