Pūtahi Akoranga: Going to Somerville

Cindy Jih —

Going to Somerville

Going to intermediate sounds so exhilarating

Though I will miss them, it is invigorating

So many things going on in my head

But the best of all, I am fully prepped

It’s rated high by parents and teachers

Because of all their many different features

I believe I will have a wonderful career

But that’s only If I do my best for the whole two years

There will be so much stuff to watch and see

And so many different things there will be

I’ll be honoured, I’ll be welcomed, by all the friendship rings

It could be challenging, though eventually, I will be one of the kings.

Unexpected tasks will hide behind the mask

That will not allow me to just simply bask

We all hope to pass the tests

And hopefully not be too stressed

The workload in Somerville will exceed above the limit

The only thing to do is show your true spirit

All the paperwork in Somerville will be a hard nut to crack

Though to be honest, this is the true haq

I’ll have to study so hard

And have to become a barnard

The teachers will have no regret

On the amount of homework that we get

I can’t wait for adventures that Somerville offers

Like camp and AIMS games with no time to potter

Competition over there is very intense

But I need to act morally and not become tense

Somerville is a unique school

With all it’s activities that sound really cool

Somerville sounds like it’s good for me

But I’ll just have to wait and see!
