The 24th Auckland Girls' Chess Championship was held on 19 June in the Mount Albert War Memorial Hall.

155 girls played from 49 schools across Auckland, and Point View School had four girls attending this tournament in the under 10 divisions.

Olivia Li (Room 20) and Ariel Fu (Room 21) who won the 1st and 3rd place respectively.
