Although they might not be seen much doing their job, the road patrol group plays a vital role in keeping students safe while they cross the road on their way to and from school. We have to stand at the crossing, whether it’s sunny, windy or raining heavily. At the end of the year, the road patrollers are rewarded for their hard work with a trip to Rainbow's End, an amazing theme park in Manukau.
This was such an amazing and enjoyable trip! While some had never been to Rainbow's End, they had a terrific day. The Log Flume was the most popular ride. Everyone wanted to go on this "must-do ride" several times. There were also a lot of stomach-turning rides, such as the Invader, Power Surge, Fear Fall, and Stratosfear. Everyone enjoyed having fun and having a go at as many rides as possible. This trip will always hold special memories for the remainder of our academic careers.
A huge thanks to all the parents who helped with transport, as well as Ms Groot, who took us on the trip. We are very grateful to you all.
History of Rainbow’s End
Rainbow’s End was first introduced by 2 amazingly talented women named Margaret Tapper and Margaret George. The park first opened in December, 1982 and has become the biggest and most popular amusement park in all of New Zealand. The first rides in Rainbow’s End were Bumper Boats, Mini Golf, Can Am Cars, Mirage Cars and video games in the PlayLab.
