On Tuesday June 13 our school hosted the East Auckland Primary Interschool Chess Championship in our school hall. Point View entered six teams of four students. There were SO many tables, chess boards and clocks. During the day there was A LOT of noise from clocks clicking during the games! The day was challenging because we were playing chess against other school players and some games were hard! For some of the games we felt confident and were able to win. There were crowds and crowds of people who were remarkably quiet during the games to allow the players to concentrate. We had a great day made even better because Point View won the gold medals!
