Good Luck for the 40 Hour Famine

Allison Williams —

Some fundraisers choose to give up food or their phone, others hold a bake sale. Whatever the choice, from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th June, young Kiwis will be coming together to do things big and small, that will add up to something massive.

Last year, as a movement of young people across Aotearoa, we stood united with the South Sudanese children seeking refuge in Uganda. We dared to believe change was possible. And we were right!

We're helping to raise money for the children and their families in urgent need after Cyclone Idai and severe flooding tore a path of destruction across Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.

Some families have lost everything. Approximately 3 million people have been affected and need humanitarian assistance now. More than 1,100 fatalities have been reported across the region, with that number expected to rise with many more reported missing.

We urgently need your help to support these children and their families by providing emergency healthcare, food, safe water and sanitation.

If you want to join us or donate, scan the QR code to 'sign in', join the team or donate.  We're aiming to raise $2000 this year.
