Role with PSS: Activities Coordinator at Resthaven Village

Started: It’s coming up 15 years since I started.

Give us a quick overview of your role: My role is to plan, implement and evaluate activities for residents, design programmes to encourage socialisation, provide entertainment, relaxation and fulfilment and improve daily living skills.

What is the number one thing you love most about your job? I am a social person. I enjoy working with residents in their home. They have great stories and life experiences to share. I meet a lot of wonderful families and their friends through them.

What do you enjoy outside of work? Relaxing – what’s that word? I know I don't spend enough time with my wonderful grandchildren. But I like music and go to a lot of music events where I can.

What is the one thing you can't live without? I can’t live without food… love it!
