Support of Local Funders “Invaluable”

The Invercargill Licensing Trust (ILT), ILT Foundation, Community Trust of Southland and Central Lakes Trust have all re-committed to providing financial support to Presbyterian Support Southland (PSS) for the next year.

Their significant contributions totalling $290,000 enable PSS to continue to support Family Works and SupportLink services during the next year. In particular we would like to extend our appreciation to Central Lakes Trust who increased their funding by $10,000 this year.

PSS Marketing and Communications Manager Shelley Erskine said this funding made an immeasurable difference in enabling the organisation to support many Southland families in need, some 1,223 families in the 2016/17 year.

“Family Works supports families who are facing challenging times, and demand for some of the services offered within the agency continues to be exceptionally high,” she said.

“PSS is very grateful for the support local funders provide, and their continued acknowledgement that what we do is making a difference in the lives of Southlanders,” Ms Erskine said.
