Overview of role: 

Assisting residents to remain connected to others they care about and have fellowshipped with, connected to their God and connected to churches if they have them.

What’s the number one thing you love most about your job?

I love meeting people, both residents and their families and hearing their stories. I enjoy listening to their memories and seeing how their experiences make them the unique characters I meet here in Gore.

What do you enjoy outside of work?

Spending time with my family. I have five children and eight precious grandchildren. The parents are willing to share the grandchildren with us which is such a blessing. I love gardening and have a pretty broad selection of f lowers, fruits and vegetables that we grow and share with friends and family. The other bonus with the garden is that we use it to teach younger people how to grow, preserve and store produce for themselves, which we find incredibly rewarding.

What’s the one thing you can’t live without?

Truthfully there isn’t a lot I can’t live without, but my family and my relationship with God would be what I count most dear.
