Top Marks for Vickery Court

Vickery Court’s latest certification audit for the Ministry of Health has proven hugely positive.

The Waikiwi-based rest home and hospital received four year certification and two Continuous Improvements for going above and beyond in best practice for clinical work and its residents-driven activities programme.

The audit team looks at; the way residents are cared for, staffing, how staff interact with residents, the general environment and clinical records, policies and procedures, as well as interviewing staff, residents and family members.

Vickery Court Manager Carol Riddle said the audit results were credit to a focussed and dedicated team and the home was one of just three in Invercargill, including Enliven’s Walmsley House, to achieve the maximum four year certification.
