Condolences

It is with sadness that we acknowledge the passing of former Presbyterian Support Southland (PSS) Trustee and Chair, Cliff Broad.

Cliff was on the Board from 1979 to 1998 and was Chair from 1990 to 1992.

Over that time he contributed a huge amount to the organisation, across a range of significant events that helped to shape the future of PSS.

He was involved with the development of Frankton Home (which opened on 1 December 1989), as well as the redevelopment of Resthaven Village in 1998.

Cliff also played a role in the development of two services which support hundreds of Southlanders today - the Child and Family Support Service (now known as Family Works) which was established in 1990, and the Community Aged Care Service (now known as SupportLink) in 1991.

His contribution over such a long period will always be a valued part of our history and we send our condolences to his family and friends.

A few years ago Cliff decided that Vickery Court would be where he would like to live if he needed care. Cliff was a resident at Vickery Court from July 2015 until his death in March 2017, and he and his family appreciated the care he received.
