Vickery Court in Full Bloom

Fresh flowers are brightening up Vickery Court

Taking time not only to smell the flowers but to arrange them as well, is brightening the days of Vickery Court residents and visitors.

Manager Carol Riddle picks up a bucket of flowers from a roadside stall on her way to work each week, and residents arrange them before they go on display around the home.

Carol says the feedback from both residents and visitors is hugely positive.

“It’s just lovely walking around and seeing fresh flowers,” she said
“The residents do a fantastic job with them and – quite rightly – they’re quite proud of them.”

Can you help?

Vickery Court is looking for a volunteer that can support residents with the weekly flower arrangement. If you may be interested, please email enquiry@pss.org.nz or phone Carol on 03 215 9059.
