Culturally Responsive Cool Stuff

Ka mau te wehi koutou mā!
Each hui provides plenty of positive kōrero and we are often left with food for thought to take with us. It is clear that we have placed tamariki, whānau and the wider community at the heart of this kaupapa. The extent of our networking has already seen kaiako and ākonga alike visiting other schools in order to share their expertise and learn from others. Recent feedback from participants shows a high level of positivity and drive within their own schools and across the kāhui ako. Below are comments made by our peeps:
“He Tangata! He Tangata! He Tangata! I am all about the people and making connections within our community for the success of all.“
“Strong and powerful relationship! Holistic Education!”
“The challenge is to be BRAVE, watch and listen.”
“Improve cultural awareness and use of te reo.”
“Being brave in front of the students and peers”
“It Is encouraging to see more out there, especially for the smaller schools who struggle.”
It excites me to think that our kāhui ako could be the catalyst for local and nationwide change. And out tamariki will go on to change the world!
