We are thrilled with the work that has been taking place as we plan our new senior campus and the redevelopment of our existing site.

The government announced funding for Allenvale School to be relocated and re-built as a separate facility on the new Belfast West school site in July 2018. Since the announcement at the beginning of 2019 that we would be expanded to have a junior and senior campus the Ministry of Education has been working closely with both schools to progress Allenvale School’s relocation.

Allenvale School has its own principal, staff and Board of Trustees providing a safe, inclusive and positive environment for students with learning support needs who benefit from teaching, learning environments and practices that are highly responsive to them.

Through a master-planning process the Boards of our schools will work together to determine the location of the two schools on the shared site. Enough land has been provided to ensure more than adequate space for both schools and to accommodate future population growth.

Diversity is very much respected at Belfast School and we welcome the opportunity to co-locate with Allenvale School. Our new campus and Allenvale’s new school will be wonderful facilities for everyone to be proud of and we are delighted to be providing educational opportunities for more than one school community.
