With deep sadness we acknowledge the passing of our friend and colleague Catherine.
After a short illness with cancer, Catherine passed away on Wednesday morning. Catherine has been a Teacher Aide at Belfast School for the past five years working as a valued member of our team.
Catherine formed many friendships with staff and is remembered very fondly by us all as someone who was warm and caring, and for her wicked sense of humour. She had a great ability to make us laugh and was quick to find the humour in a situation. Catherine was passionate about supporting our children to learn, especially those she worked closely with. They will remember her kindness and care.
As well as a staff member, Catherine and Blair's children have been students at Belfast School, and taught by many of our teachers.
Me te aroha tino nui atu. Our thoughts, love and deepest sympathy go out to Blair, Millie, Charlie, Kennedie and all of Catherine's family. Catherine touched us all and memories of her time with us will always be treasured.
