Global School Play Day - promoting the importance of unstructured play in schools.
Today the Lower Middle classes - Room 8, 9, 11, 12 and 13 all took part in the worldwide event that is Global School Play Day. We were part of the half a million students throughout 72 Nations that have taken part in play-based, confidence and relationship building activities this week.
Global School Play Day began with confidence building time in the pool. Once back in our classrooms the students worked together on a variety of both class and mathematics-focused games.
Our day concluded with a rotation of activities that included skipping, Twister, big games, T-Ball, Non-Stop Cricket, Hula-Hooping, ball games, free play exploration and chalk time.
The students enjoyed the day and the time spent together.
