Junior Campus Hall
Our new Tauhōkai, Junior Campus hall, is ready for handover
Over the past two terms, we have been observing the progress of the hall construction and eagerly anticipating its completion. Our students have been captivated by the machinery and constant activity at the building site. The sight of diggers and trucks may have inspired some of our students to consider a future in the construction industry.
Once the hall is handed over to the school, final compliance checks will need to be completed before we can start using it. This process won't take long, so starting from the beginning of Term 3, this wonderful facility will be able to host assemblies and gatherings, be utilized for fitness activities during bad weather, and accommodate various other events.
Hanns Construction has done an excellent job of minimizing disruption during the demolition and building process. The next stage of the program is the construction of the new classroom block. With the ground prepared for the foundations, you can see how it will fit into the new school landscape.
The final stage of the program will involve the redevelopment of the staff carparking area and the installation of fencing to separate vehicle access from the pedestrian areas.
