How to enrol at Pūtahi Belfast School
We offer a warm welcome to our wonderful school and look forward to an enduring relationship with you and your child/children over the coming years. We promote a family-friendly community-based learning environment. As such, we want you to feel welcome and supported throughout this transition to school for your child/children.

To enrol at our school you need to be living within our school zone. Please refer to our map and zone information below to see whether you are eligible.
We might be able to offer some places for out-of-zone children each term, however this is dependent on our roll and the sizes of the classes at each level.
If you are eligible and live within the zone, we welcome your application for enrolment. Please follow our step-by-step process below.
Please also follow the link to view our school's Cohort Entry Policy to know when New Entrant children (first time at a school) are likely to start. Please note that Cohort Entry is only relevant to New Entrant children (first time at a school).
How to enroll at Pūtahi Belfast School:
Email enrolments@belfast.school.nz with proof of in-zone address.
Once your address is confirmed, we will send you the pre-enrolment information form to complete, where your information will be gathered and stored in our Pre-enrolment Register.
An enrolment meeting with the Principal, Jo Johnstone, will be scheduled within approximately three months of your child starting school.
An enrolment application form will be emailed to you to be completed online via our Student Management System - HERO, prior to the enrolment meeting. The completed form will be reviewed at the meeting.
We will require further information outlined below. Original copies should be brought into the office for viewing and photocopying.
->Your child's NZ birth certificate and/or NZ passport
Alternatively, if your child is of another nationality outside of New Zealand, we will need to sight a parent's passport and Visa and your child's passport and Visa.
->Your child's immunisation details
From your Plunket book, or this can be obtained from your doctor.
->Proof of your residential address will also be required:
a rates notice or a sales and purchase agreement PLUS a Utility bill. These documents must be no older than 3 months.
If you cannot provide both of the above documents, we require, an Official Tenancy Agreement PLUS a Utility Bill.
If you move out-of-zone within 12 months, enrolment may be reviewed
This information remains confidential to the school.
After your enrolment meeting with the Principal when we receive your completed Online Enrolment Form and supporting documents, your enrolment will then be complete.
