Kickstart Breakfast Club Kicks Off at Queen's

Liz Koni —

After a slight delay due to Covid-19 the Queen's Kickstart Breakfast programme is now up and running for Term 3.

KickStart Breakfast is run in conjunction with Sanitarium and Fonterra and aims to help more students achieve their best by getting a kickstart to their day.  At Queen's any students who have skipped breakfast, run out of time to eat before school or who need an extra boost can come along at intervals on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays to the whare for something to eat and drink.  On offer over the past few weeks we have had toast, cereal, fruit and milo, as well as some interesting new recipes to taste!

KickStart Breakfast is the only school breakfast programme of its kind within New Zealand and it has been awesome to see so many girls coming along, helping out and sharing in some kai with their fellow students.

We would like to thank Sanitarium and Fonterra for their support, as well as all of the teachers and students who are helping to make the Queen's Kickstart Breakfast programme a success.
