The annual Queen’s High School Spelling Bee was held on Friday 13 November.

All Year 9 English classes have been a hive of activity in recent weeks, learning their spelling words and preparing for the swarm of competition from other classes. Ms bumble bee Signal-Cambridge was once again our MC, sharing some wonderfully bumbling bee jokes. After a tight competition between 20 students, Abby Newell (9BEC) was crowned queen bee in 1st place, Tait Morton buzzed in 2nd place and Heather Lawrence (9BIS) was placed 3rd in the hive.
