We ended this term with our inter-house ‘Just Dance’ competition today. The fun, colour and laughter were just what we needed to end what has been a very different term for us all. The staff item was enjoyed by the entire school with staff showing off some impressive moves.

We are beginning to welcome Year 8 students and their parents into Queen’s as they consider their schooling for 2021. On Wednesday 29th July we hold our Open Night. We ask the girls to show visitors around our school and to share their personal experiences of learning as well as the extra-curricular activities they are engaged in.  School will finish at 2.30pm to allow for staff and students to complete preparations for the Open Night which begins at 6.30pm. Transport home is available for student helpers, with an expected finishing time of 8.30pm.

This week we have sent out mid-year reports. There is an opportunity for you and your daughter to meet with her teachers on Thursday 6th August. Information on booking interview times is included in this issue of the Queen’s News.  All reports can be accessed through the parent portal.

Careers and Options Evening is on Thursday 3rd September.  Students and their families can listen to ex-girls talk about their career paths, discuss pathways with a variety of providers and to discuss options choices for 2021.

As we end the most extraordinary of terms I can only say thank you. Thank you to everyone in the Queen's community for all you have done in making sure our return to school on site has been so successful.  I wish everyone a safe and restful break.

Ngā mihi
