Surfing

Tash Civil —

During the holidays the Queen’s Surf Academy was lucky enough to learn from New Zealand’s most successful ever pro surfer, Paige Hareb.

This four day adventure included a lot of surfing. The girls also learnt paddling techniques at the University of Otago P.E School’s Aquatic Flume and strength and conditioning sessions at The Recovery Room.

Paige gave us insights to what it is like being on the World Championship Tour and how she trains while travelling the world.

Working with Paige was a huge motivation for our surfers who appreciated this massive opportunity.

A huge thanks also to Derek Morrison at NZ Surf Journal for putting it all together for us and for capturing these epic photos.
